Windows 2003 Server & DNS
I have small network with 5 computers connected to Windows 2003 Server. I have active directory setup but it seems to be very slow in connecting users to network. And, this doesn't just happen first time. I'm wondering what best way is of setting it up. I have router providing DHCP to switch where all systems are connected to.
I don't have WINS Server, DHCP, or Routing & Remote devices installed on Windows 2003 server. I just have DNS setup and have it pointing to itself. I also have some A records. All are set to automatically detect settings for each computers's nic. Are the A record IPs supposed to be created automatically when you add computer to active directory? And, if so, should these IPs point to IP of that specific system?
It is all a little confusing to me as compared to setting up Linux webserver.
