WINNT 2k routing (rras)
Windows routing (rras)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I'm having a problem doing some routing. I found this post on the web but it never got answered (exact problem I'm having). adding this to my routing table didn't work. route add 124.163.231.6 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.0.30 any idea's?? Thanks in advance! ================================ I am running 2000 Server with Routing and Remote Access setup taking care of NAT for several computers running 192.168.0.* ips and i was wondering if anyone knows of a way that i can assign multiple IPs to my external network interface and when a connection comes in on one of the "extra" ips it would route traffic to a computer on the internal network. So lets say the network is defined as follows: Windows 2000 Server (Nat Server) IP 1 -- 124.163.213.5 (This server's web server) IP 2 -- 124.163.231.6 ("Extra" ip) IP 3 -- 192.168.0.30 (Gateway for NATed clients) Windows 2000 Server (A NAT Client and internal web server) IP 1 -- 192.168.0.20 What i want is for any connection that comes into 124.163.231.6 to be forwarded to 192.168.0.20 and let that web server handle the request. Is this possible? I would like to stay away from port forwarding because i would like to setup domain names on those IPs something that cant be done with portfordwarding (as far as i know). Also it would be nice if this would work for any protocol but web will do for now. You may wonder why I dont just publish the 192.168.0.20 server to a "real" ip since i can get two ips from my ISP anyway but trust me I have my reasons. Thanks for your help, |
