winxp net connections?
Have a laptop was set up for wireless cable. took it to friends, plugged in cat5 attempted to configure, no errors but cannot get internet via IE. Picket right up on router dhcp, did the wizzard. Can ping everywhere, but cant get IE to access net. I've had this problem on 5 other PC's with XP??. Seems xp locks in on original connection first time setup, but when need to change to different connection later it won't connect via IE. Used sytem restore on the others to get them to work again. Is there anyway to reset IE or clear net connections. The wizzards don't seem to work.

Try disabling the connect which you're not using. In Network Connections, right-click the connection and select Disable.

Thanx Ed. Tried that but that didn't werk either. Did the NetShell thing and that seems to have done it.
