WinXP networking problem
We are running a three person network here, all WinXP pro. One of my roomies reinstalled, and now we are having a network problem. He can access us over the network, see files, copy files, etc, like normal, however, the other two of us can't access him over the network. We've tried typing in his computer name and it will hang for a long moment and then say that Windows cannot find him. We are all in the same workgroup. Any suggestions?

Maybe file and printer sharing was not re-enabled on his machine? Make him run the Network Wizard or use a floppy disk from the ones you and the other guy should of made from the network wizard, and then make him allow other people to view files on his computer. Then it should work.

If it still doesn't work, check to see if you can ping his computer.
