Wireless Network

I currently have a wireless network in place. I am trying to find a way to add additional pc's without the added cost of access points. I would like to use one of the wireless work station to attach one or more pc's using 2 nic cards in the fisrt computer.

SO far I have been able to create 2 networks. The first is the main network that offers the internet services. the second is a network between the wirless pc and the additional pc. From the first wirless pc I can see all computers on both networks. On the additional pc all I can see is the first wirelss pc.

Is there software out there that I can use to allow internet access through the 1st wireless pc from the additional pc?

Thanks

I'm a little confused by what you're asking...

If you want to share an Internet connection, all versions of Windows from 98 up come with a feature called Internet Connection Sharing - enable this and set the computers to use this as your default gateway and you'll be able to access the Internet.

If you want to create a bridge between two connections on one computer, between a wireless and wired connection, and have XP, you can enable the Network Bridge, which will bridge connections between the wireless connection and wired connection - users will then be able to access resources on both networks.

Thanks I have tried that also. I was wondering if it could be because we use Win Sock Proxy to allow access. Maybe the internet connections sharing software needs the gateway defined. With WSProxy client we do not have a gateway ip configured.

Thanks for your help

Have you tried looking on the Win Sock Proxy help files or website for information about how to setup clients. I would guess you either need to setup a default gateway, or in Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options, Connections, Lan Settings and then enter in the address of your proxy server.
