You didn't even have to search for it! It was still on the first page on the networking forum:
http://forums.devshed.com/t137683/s.html I don't get you about the sound driver... Why are you trying to access it remotely? Perhaps you could explain some more... If you want to search, there is a search facility at http://forums.devshed.com/search.php |

hi i bought a second hand server (just a dual p3 1 Ghz) just to play around with it and win2003. i turned on router and remote access, so ICS and firewall dont work. Then my genius got to work
![]() why not allow all the home network to access it remotely for central application server eg. internet, that way a pentium 1 233 wont be left behind for grunt. thats why i am eager for the server to be set up as a DHCP behind the ADSL modem router |

Was that link to the shutdown thread OK?
Although all that stuff about the server is very interesting, as far as I can tell, there aren't any problems which you were asking me about, were there? ![]() (ie: just checking that it was chat rather than a problem ) |

So you're trying to logon remotely to a computer which doesn't have a soundcard and get it to play sound. I doubt this will work. The computer you're remotely logging onto would probably need a sound card in order for you to be able to play sounds remotely from it. Not sure exactly though.
