XP Networking
My XP computer will not allow access into the windows or programs files folders. I can share all other folders, except these two, with the rest of the computers on the network. I have a second XP that this isn't a problem.

Could you expand a little?
What you do mean by "not allow access"? Persumably you can access the files and folders fine from the local computer, but what happens if you try and access them from the network. Do you get an error message? If so, what kind of error message? You can try accessing \\computername\c$ from a remote computer. This should allow you access to the C folder, including the windows and program files. |

There is no problem accessing the files from the local computer. The error message I get from one in the networks says: \windows is not accessible. Access is denied.

You probably don't have permissions then. On both computers, you should have two accounts, both with the same username and password. Use this account to access the remote computer. Otherwise, you'll probably be logging on with the guest account which won't have permissions to view this folder.

This will help for a computer with xp, but I also have 2 computers are running with 98 on the network. (I've got 4 computers on the network 2 XP and 2 98.)

You can create user accounts with usernames and passwords to match those on the XP machines in Windows 98 too. I can't remember the exact location of it (I haven't used 98 for a while), but it's definitely there.
