XP to XP Networking With Crossover cable cannot connect to Road Runner

Gentleman and ladies, I have two identical Gateway Computers. I have them networked together with a crossover cable and the network is working wonderful, however i haved tried everything to get comp 2 to connect to my road runner cable modem. The road runner modem is set with a staic ip address, why can i not get hooked up, the following is the ipconfig /all on computer2
