xphome can't see win2000 server
Need advice.!
the network have 2 new xphome n/book, 1 xppro desktop, 3 win98 and 3 winme. all use dhcp to connect as workgroup.the very 1st time setup new n/b can see server contents by login as administrator. then I add "username 01" and "username02" at server admin tools.same time I change both the usernames at n/book. all other pc ok can see server except this 2 xphome. can ping server: 10.0.0.11. but 'view w/group' can't see server, only can see another xppro pc, the rest of winme, win98 can't detect. Workgroup name all are same. try run network setup many times still same. also disabled ICF. all connections to hub. Thankyou very much.. |

Home has no domain option but you should be able to do peer to peer. What is shared on the server? Try granting explicit rights for the two accounts to the share and see what happens.

1. I created & add username01 in win2k server as admin group. 2. username01 at n/book set same passwrd as when create at server. 3. want to share folders, files and printer that connect to this win2k server. |
