    I need some help

Hello! I know that what I am about to ask you is going to sound a bit stupid, but please bear with me . What exactly is a router? You see I keep traveling a lot and I need to have internet wherever I am going, especially since I am going to go to university. I do have internet at home with cable and I had problems trying to put up other networks. If I have a router will I have internet wherever I go? what is the diference between routers, I was pretty much shocked when I saw the prices of some Thank you for your time and help! have a nice day!

Hi, I believe a router is basically just your wireless box, that you most likely have at home, where you can connect wireless devices at home?

But on the travel ( train ) for example, you would be able to connect to wireless internet, there you would be connecting to the internet?

Unless of course you have a wireless dongle, and that just works on signal really, the same way your phone does...

If anybody else is able to jump on and correct me, please feel free
