route - gateway help URGENT
I did setup of a linux based mail server. Existing network has some very bad error who setup it but it have IP's in range of 200.100.x.x which falls in to real IP's range. these IP's are configured in router and router's console is not working or some password is not working i dont know but I have to go with their current setup.
now the problem is ...
i want to make this gateway machine / mail server to act as a router for these networks.
126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52 and 184.108.40.206
IP's of various network devices are as following:
eth0: 203.x.x.x [static IP provided by ISP]
default gateway is set to the ISP gateway.
i did try to add new gateway's of existing router but while i do ping ... [200.100.101.x] it pings to some machine existing on internet not in the network. hope you are getting my point.
so can anybody guide me how to came out from this situation?
finally i want to add gateway (not default) 220.127.116.11 (which is router) hence i can get ping of 200.100.101.x (which is machine of 101.0 network) not the machine having real IP of this.
thanks for your help or any idea. i tried to search in google for samples by which i can add gateway of perticular NIC but not lucky.

What a networking nightmare. You can't just make up IPs, the 200 block (18.104.22.168 - 22.214.171.124) is reserved to South/Central American Networks. I find it impossible to beleive that your router came preconfigured with an IP range outside of what is reserved for personal network usage.
Quite simply you'll continue having problems until you follow the standards and set your IP's to something within the ranges reserved for local networks.

yeah you are right. i also told the client same thing. so i guess there is no solution for this problem right?

finally i found solution for it like ... put linux routers in between these routers and the network.
10.0.101.0 LAN -- [Linux Router (10.0.101.1 & 126.96.36.199)] -- [Real Router (188.8.131.52)] -- leased Line -- [Real Router (184.108.40.206)] -- [Linux Router (220.127.116.11 & 10.0.102.1)] - 10.0.102.0 LAN.
this solution made those ugly 200.x.x.x disappeared at both the LANs.
