Arrow thanx

thanx for the quick replies
i am a newbie,
actually i got into the forum from the mysql>oracle thread.

there is a reasonably big database in mysql.
it is indexed.
i have the following task at hand

1) tune it
2) migrate it to oracle

tuning will need some study of the dbase which i am doing right now.
let me know if there are any particular considerations for the migration part.
