Diff between local managed and dictionary managed tablespaces

Could anyone tell me what is the difference between local managed and dictionary managed tablespaces?

Dictionary managed tablespace keeps the all information into database dictionary.
Locally managed tablespace keeps the all information into tablespace.
FYI, dictionary managed tablespace is obsolete in Oracle9i release2.
