Question get the query runtime

Is there anyone who can tell me how to get the total runtime for a query? I tried to look at the data given in the trace file: cpu time, elapse time, disk, and so on. But I am not sure which one stands for the total runtime (including I/O and CPU time).

By the way, does anyone know how the record data is placed on disks?

thanks!
