Well .dat -file can contain any kind of data... What does yours contain?
Occasionally I name my plain -text files that some program uses as .dat -file. Quick search on my machine: - MSOffice uses some dat files, binary. - Toad has SQL -query history as dat file. - A WebStripper -software has bookmarks named as dat file, thou it contains xml -structured data. |
