Question Inexpensive query tool

Hello, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced tool for querying Oracle DBs and creating reports. In particular, I'm looking for something with a GUI that allows for writing and saving queries, formatting the report output, etc.

Check my signature for great opensource tools:
1. TOra (management tool like Toad)
2. iReport (reporting tool)
3. Openreports (web based report distribution tool)

2. and 3. are both based on jasperreports an open, java based, reporting component, and work very well together.

The best that I've found is the QLR Manager. It's a php server based application that allows you to access your data from anywhere with a browser. I use it for MySQL, but it also works with Oracle databases.

What version of Oracle are you running? It works with Oracle 7 and later.

Thanks, pablo and ruski.

That gives me quiet a few to look over as I get time. At first glance, qlrmanager appears interesting with its non-intimidating interface for some of our less technically inclined folks in our operational areas. I also like the concept of being able to retrieve queries written by others and modify as necessary. Ruski, we just installed Oracle 8.i

I recommend DreamCoder for Oracle 1.4 y very easy to use and cheap.

Is very good for generated report for a query and include the query builder.

I am the author of an addin for Excel called SQL*XL. SQL*XL is a great adhoc query tool. It allows you to get the data directly into Excel where you can do your analysis etc.

Have a look at SQL*XL at www.oraxcel.com
