JOIN in Oracle

May i know is it Oracle 8i doesn't support INNER JOIN? I have a query statement where it have LEFT JOIN and INNER JOIN therefore may i know are they any solution for this?

Oracle 8 does not support the standard syntax (which is supported from Oracle 9 on).

sql Code:

Original - sql Code
FROM t1 INNER JOIN t2 ON t1.field = t2.field

FROM t1 INNER JOIN t2 ON t1.FIELD = t2.FIELD

translates into

sql Code:

Original - sql Code
FROM t1, t2 WHERE t1.field = t2.field

FROM t1, t2 WHERE t1.FIELD = t2.FIELD

(which is supported by any other database)
and

sql Code:

Original - sql Code
FROM t1 LEFT OUTER JOIN t.2 ON t1.field = t2.field

FROM t1 LEFT OUTER JOIN t.2 ON t1.FIELD = t2.FIELD

translates into

sql Code:

Original - sql Code
FROM t1, t2 WHERE t1.field = t2.field(+)

FROM t1, t2 WHERE t1.FIELD = t2.FIELD(+)
