Question jsp connectivity

hi!

i'm in urgent need of your help... i cant seem to connect my oracle database to my jsp interface.. i couldn't find a specific documentation for this.. ive read a few but it doesn't seem to work...
we are currently trying to connect our jsp interface to an oracle
database(personal Oracle 9i, for windows 98). <we're using the oracle navigatos, since the personal edition doesn't seem to have an enterprise manager>

The thing is, we weren't able to connect to our local database so we
created a new connection...
it's connected to...
Connected to:
Oracle9i Personal Edition Release 9.0.1.1.1 - Production
JServer Release 9.0.1.1.1 - Production

we were able to create tables and stuff, but we dont know how to
connect to this database thru JSP. we created a data source (via ODBC
Data Source Administrator) but when we test the connection, a 'NO
LISTENER' error occurs.

we've been reading on ODBC and JDBC connectivity but cannot
understand what we really need to do.
please help us...

thanks!
