Online auction site

hi, I'm a novice so I need to be put on the right track.

if i was to set up an online auction site using oracle enterprise edition or 10g, what technology would the database need to support such a site? also, any recommendations about which edition I should choose?

Are you talking about which language you should use to create the front end? Pretty much any OOP web language can support Oracle but some have Oracle framework designed specifically for Oracle performance (i.e. - ODP, or Oracle Data Provider, for the .NET framework). In that case ASP.NET would work well.

Hire a consultant, because:

1. Topic is really too long for a forum thread and you gave us no specifications
2. If you have enough money for Oracle 10g EE you can afford the hardware and consultancy too

Please also note that uppercase and marks abuse is not appreciated here and people offer help freely, so there is nothing like urgent and so on.
