runInstaller silent responsefile
I want to install oracle "automatically" via a responsefile...
I am concerned that this installtion is completely automatic, but started to worry about the two scripts root.sh and orainstRoot.sh .. Do I have to interact with the "silent-responsefile-installation"??

The answer is that you have to run root.sh manually after the installation...
Anyway... a thing that annoys me is that this silent mode requires the DISPLAY -variable to be set!!!!!! How stupid is that.... Well OK.. I can use a remote display....and well this might be more of a java-thing than a pure oracle-thing..BUT it's really poor that oracle can't provide a real non-gui installation!!! ![]() |
