Stupid me....

Hi everyone,

This is probably quite embarassing, but i've been developing SQL Server//access Db's for a few months now...and now they've asked me to take a look at some Oracle stuff.

That thin client that was sent to me makes a connection...but i'm not really sure what the "schema" is. Is it the main oracle system database? Is it the name of the database? Is it the database design?

I can't find any good definitions because everywhere I go it's quite vague....

thx guys.

Bill

A collection of related database objects. Relational schemas are grouped by database user ID and include tables, views, and other objects

schema also called 'user' in oracle

you may have as many as schema you want within a database.
