Hello all,
I have a ms-access front-end with Oracle ODBC tot a Oracle 9 database. I want to hard code the username & password for the odbc connection. Is it possible to do in the tsnames.ora file? Does ne1 have some samples or ideas how to? Manny thanx.. Patric Netherlands. |

I don't know exactly, and unfortunately I don't have an oracle connection at hand, but you might be interested in Implementing Windows Authentication for Oracle

Hello,
In tnsnames.ora u can only specified the name of the schema, IP address and listner. I have no idea about "ms-access " but in D2k there is a concept of on-logon trigger where u can specified the username and passwd. Try to findout similar type of concept in "ms-access ". thanks Quote:
