Using the £ symbol in 8.1.7

Hi, 1st post here...

Can anyone help me ? Currently I have an oracle server that only allows me to use the "#" symbol and not the "£" symbol.

I want to be able to change this so that I can use the £ symbol, and being rather new to Oracle means I am stuck.

Any ideas anyone ?

cheers

Ish
