Why strange charatcters for Interactive SQL?
I'm using Oracle intended for use in East Europe and Russia and when I try to execte some SQL interactively I get error messages - which - apparntly should be in Russian however - they are strangely composed strings.
What setting should I change? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

Check the nls_lang in your registry:
hkey_local_machine->software->oracle if the value is different from the one in the db the one that will take affect is the one in the registry. so remove the entry of nls_lang (also from all the homes) and the character will be the same as it is in the db (assuming the data in the db is ok).
