Accessing database via WAP
Hi i'm new to the forums just need a little bit of advice. I just want to see if this is possible to do before i waste time learning WML.
What i want to do is have a database on our main office computers . This database will inclulde customer information, job numbers ect... I want the engineers to be able to connect to this database via thier mobile phones and be able to view certain simplified information from the main computer database. I also want them to be able to log a new call number via thier phones. We will create a new office database as part of our web site and it will be password protected. Is this possible? |

WML is out-of-date. All the modern mobile devices have WAP 2.0 (WML + XHTML) browsers. Why don’t you try the XHTML interface? It works both on mobile and desktop devices. To begin you can see this free database Smanshome hosting (en.smansh.com). Here, for example, several persons may work with one database as administrator, editor, writer, reader, or guest.
