.bat and .cmd files
I have created a file called test.cmd. I need to schedule this file to run every Saturday. But while schedulinh I wrongly gave the file extension as .bat instead .cmd i.e while scheduling, I gave the file name as test.bat.
The scheduler returns as an error saying, test.bat file doesn't exist. Is it not possibe to call a file with extension .cmd as .bat? please advice

You could try renaming the file to .bat then, or delete your scheduler command and re-add it with the correct extension.

On the regular command prompt, you can also schedule programs to run at specific times using the at command.
This should stop you from creating your own programs, and should be a little easier to do.
