Need help making Facebook App

I am trying to learn how to make an app with Facebook that I have seen on someone elses website. Is anyone here familar with Facebook programming?

Basically I want this to be a link or button they would click on my website which opens up another tab to share the URL on their page, while grabbing their email address.

Are you talking about just the like button plugin?

Essentially, that is one of the things I want it to do. The other is to grab their data & email address which they would have to authorize. I want to do this so that I can confirm who hit like and email them if they randomly won a prize for liking.

Any ideas?
