Is there a way of changing the (framesets-)document title on a e.g. onLoad event? I want to show to the user which links are followed by changing the title-bar when he is going to a deeper level of the page..

Not in Perl without a lot of un-needed work. I suggest directing your question to the JavaScript forums. You can do this using JavaScript 1.2, but I don't know the exact syntax.
