Cookie problem with LWP::UserAgent

I'm having a strange problem with HTTP::Cookies and LWP::UserAgent

I setup a cookiejar so the server i am contacting can set a cookie. I send a request, it sets the cookie but then the response I get back from the server is that it could not set the cookie? Anyone know why this could be happening?

If the server trys to access the cookie will it be able to? The format it saved the cookie in looks different from that of IE though i am guessing thats just how IE parses its cookies. Any help would be appreciated. I am at the end of my rope. Thank you.
