email to database gateway

Hello all.... I'd really appreciate any idea on how to do this.

I've heard of ways to take an incoming email, process it, and stuff the results into a MySQL database.

I'm kind of assuming you'd do this with Perl, maybe with somekind of a contrabs that would look at the email box now and then and do the processing.

However, I have no real idea how you'd set this up. Any ideas at all would be a help, even if it's just one piece of the equation.

That thread is discussing parsing incoming emails through a perl script. In that perl script put your mySQL INSERT code.
