Extract text from image file using perl script

Hi, I'm trying to extract text from image file. Eg: .png, .jpg, etc...

I have tried below listed perl modules but failed to get exact results

Image::OCR::Tesseract
Image::PNG
OCR::PerfectCR

OS: Windows XP
ActivePerl 5.14

Please suggest!

Thanks

Well if you have tried/tested all the perl solutions, then you can try some other utility, these are just a few I've seen:

"I tried x and it didn't work" isn't a useful description.
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart....html#beprecise

Your actual perl code (not just a list of the modules you used),
an example image file you're having trouble with,
the results you actually got
and what you expected

would make for a much more useful post people could contribute to.

Maybe your source images are fuzzy to the point of useless that no OCR package can make any reasonable guess.

You should clarify what you want. Transform the image of text to text or do you want the attribute information store in the file?
