I did all this work using GD.pm to create dynamic .gif files but my browser keeps defaulting to the old file stored on my local drive defeating the whole purpose of dynamic graphics!

I know I can get the new file if I delete all offline content stored locally but I was wondering if there is any way to force the browser to load the file off the server every time to page is loaded??

    thanks in advance

You should double check and see if this works, but the pragma-no cache meta tag might work for that.

Send an HTTP header similary to the following:

    Content-Type: image/gif
    Pragma: no-cache

    (your image goes here)
    ...

The pragma header tells the browser to never cache the file.
