Question Hiring Someone to write perl code?

Hi, unsure if this is the place I should post this....new member and all. Sorry, if I offend anyone.

I am developing a personal e-commerce site which will only sell at a maximum 20 products. I can write the html pages, the form commands, etc... but now I am looking for someone who can write the code for making a shopping cart, making it functional--calculate tax, shipping & handling and grand total, etc...
I want this to integrate into my existing pages.

I do not want to learn Perl, nor do I want to buy an expensive shopping cart package.

*Does anyone know if there are any sites to hire code services?
*Is anyone interested/able to discuss doing this with me?

Thank you
Lisa in Germany

Thumbs up Consider PHP/MySQL

You might want to consider PHP/MySQL as an option as this is a great combination for interactive web pages. I'm just getting into it myself (moving from Perl to PHP), so I'm not ready to take in a major outside project.

Thanks, investigating that now

Thanks for the tip. I am investigating that right now. Someone suggested "phpshop" URL Looks good, flexible, cutomizable, etc.... and FREE

The drawback to it is set up difficulty but with the right person should be fairly easy to do.

Once again thanks for the tip.

Lisa

Hi, Lisa.

If you need a programmer to do something for you from scratch, or tweak an existing script (less preferred), I may be able to help. I'm fluent in both Perl and PHP. In fact, I even developed a shopping cart system in PHP recently, and can help you set it up or develop something for you in Perl, if you want. If you're interested, feel free to contact me. My e-mail is URL.
