Hi,
I downloaded and installed the package MailTools (from CSPAN). When I tried to run internet.t I got the following error message: Net:SMTP:bad hostname 'mail host' at blib/lib/Mail/Util.pm (autosplit into blib/lib/auto/Mail/Util/maildomain.al) line 176. I also got the following error from my mail "Host unknown (Name server:mailhost.network.mycompany.com: host not found)" Does anyone know how to set up hostname, domain, mailhost ?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Ehh, sounds like you just need to configure the tools you already have. Check the config files for each application. You might want to try Net::SMTP. It works well. |

I downloaded Mail::Sendmail from CPAN; works like a treat, both from the W95 PC at home and the AIX system at work. You only need to tell it where the SMTP host is.
Since it's Perl only, it will install painlessly everywhere (nothing to compile). |
