    I just wrote them to the /tmp directory, at the root level of the drive. If you reboot, they'll be gone, but it's a place any process can write to regardless of user.

    Change the directory to whatever location you want.
    i do these changes. Thx for all the help!

    I guess that i need some Perl-Package...(s) Probaly the only thing that is left - is the Perl.-Mechanize-Package. what do you advice - to get it via Terminal (and via CPAN) or via a repository. Note: i had severl times big troubles with some interdependencies with perl ... so it is pretty important to do each step in the right way. hmmm - the question is: I have to have take care for the whole Perl package: at the moment no perl things is on the machine - note - this was a totally fresh installation. so how to get perl in the rihgt way: - a. via CPAN or via b. YAST and the opensuse repositories look forward to hear from you greetings

    I DID THE FOLLOWING

    i grabbed this file

    MozRepl 1.1.2
    von hyperstruct, rply
    Interactive Javascript Console for Mozilla Applications Developers

    from this site .

    https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/mozrepl/

    used the downlaoder and afterwards this was istalled - trhough the firefox

    but i have no glue how to proceeed

    which tests can i do - which tests with the terminal to check if i installed it right?

    i found this site Discussion between user1690130 and Mooing Duck - 2013-02-04

    where someone claims that i can do the following test.

    add only this line in a file

    use WWW::Mechanize::Firefox;

    cf: Mooing Duck Does a file containing only "use WWW::Mechanize::Firefox;" work? If not, it's not properly set up. I'm still researching how to set up perl plugins for you.

    well i did this -. but the console gave back the following:

    martin@linux-70ce:~/perl> moz.pl
    If 'moz.pl' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
    cnf moz.pl

    btw : this page is not very clear in its statements
    WWW::Mechanize::Firefox - search.cpan.org

    i do not know how to install

    so what -

    add only this line in a file

    use WWW::Mechanize::Firefox;

    cf: Mooing Duck Does a file containing only "use WWW::Mechanize::Firefox;" work? If not, it's not properly set up. I'm still researching how to set up perl plugins for you.

    well i did this -. but the console gave back the following:

    martin@linux-70ce:~/perl> moz.pl
    If 'moz.pl' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
    cnf moz.pl

    btw : this page is not very clear in its statements
    WWW::Mechanize::Firefox - search.cpan.org

    i do not know how to install

    so what -

    plzh advice

    so what -

    plzh advice

    i just did it - just see what happened:

    [Bash] mecha_firefox_10 - Pastebin.com

    well - i have to study the results... later the evening.

    after studying the terminal-output a while i suppose that something went wrong with the installation of mozrepl.... what do you say....

    Code:
    Can't locate MozRepl/RemoteObject.pm irn @INC (you may need to install the MozRepl::RemoteObject module) (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.18.1/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.18.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.18.1/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.18.1 /usr/lib/perl5/5.18.1/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.18.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl . lib) at lib/Firefox/Application.pm line 4.
    conclusion - it would be great if we would have a file that fits . i do not (!!!!!) understand why we need the tricky procedure that is described here....http://search.cpan.org/~corion/WWW-M...stallation.pod

    any ideas how to procced

    which tests should i perform - what can i do in the terminal now ...

    The pastebin data doesn't show any problem with the installation except that you didn't have Firefox running during the tests. I believe I explained it long ago, you must have Firefox running.

    With the application running and the mozrepl addon enabled, Firefox will be listening for activity on port 4242. If you do this, when you run the perl module installers, you will see all sorts of activity happening in Firefox. The browser will be working under remote control during the tests.

    If you do not have the mozrepl addon installed and enabled, or do not have Firefox running at the time, the tests will fail and eventually the installer will give up.
