my system linux
email program is sendmail
email address is rep@mydomain.com
cgi is /home2/accountname/cgi-bin/rep.pl
alias are created using control panel and can just just be forwarded to another email address.
i have telnet access and this is what i see
[accountname@server1 accountname]$ mail
Mail version 8.1 6/6/93. Type ? for help.
"/var/spool/mail/accountname":
rep.pl takes an email and stores just text of the email to a txt file
i dont know how to get the email to be acted on by rep.pl. could someone just list all the steps to do this? i hope i gave enough info.
i read pepe question and answer and i am totally confused. I have very limited experience with servers.
