    Multithreading in PERL

    Hi Everyone,

I am looking for an information about whether an Excel sheet can be read/ write using multi threading concept in PERL?

Could you please confirm whether that is possible and any link to provide that information would be much helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

Well writing an Excel spreadsheet with multithreaded code might not be a very good idea, strange things may happen (although I have never tried).

As for reading a spreadsheet, I guess it should be possible, but I have trouble seeing the reason you would want to do that.

You want to read a microsoft excel sheet using perl ? Isn't that like trying to open a safe with a swissarmy knife? I haven't heard of any perl modules capable of decoding an excel document.

There are numerous modules on cpan for working with spreadsheets.

Here's one: Spreadsheet::ParseExcel - Read information from an Excel file.
