Hi.
I'm wonder how to set up ODBC for use with an Access database (.mdb) and apache/linux/mod_php3. Anyone who knows if this is possible and, if it is, how to do this ? |

If you want to connect to a MySQL database you will need to download the MySQL ODBC drivers for Access from the mysql site: www.mysql.com
Install it, run access. Start a new database and then click new, link table, then you'll need to select ODBC from the type of file. Click machine data source and there is a MySQL sample connection there. Hope this helps. |

I was a little tempted to give the same answer Imo gave... "go to www.mysql.com and download MyODBC"
LOL I'm a little new at this so that question may be a bit over my head :-) Are you trying to use PHP to communicate directly with MS Access through the ODBC driver? If you've got time to post I'd - love to hear what your plans are. Take Care |
