Hi there,
I'm curious to know if you can make an self extracting file through perl. I.e. Browser downloads zip file and it automatically unzips when download complete? If not how could I do this? Anyone know? Thanks, Clive. |

Not with perl. The download is a client-side action, only something like JavaScript could do that (and I'm not even sure it can).

Thanks Ledjon,
I've got a feeling I'm not going to be able to do this! Thanks for taking a look anyway! |

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. If things like that where possible people would have viruses executing as soon as you hit their web page.
