Hi!
We are implementing a FREE news project for a school and we need to develop a system that makes the following stuff: * - A person sends an email with a content like this: ******* To: freenews@eb2amora.pt ******* Subject: Finaly you can cooperate with us. **** ** On the message part of the email you'll see this. ** ******* [short] Hi, school fellows. Now you can send us your news and opinions.[n] ******* Just check this out.[/short] ******* [news]This is the big news[/news] ******* [author]Paula Silva[/author] - Know we must process this when received on school ISP (here in Portugal only Universities have their own WebServers) and add it to a database automaticaly. On their web site there's a CGI to read the database and to display it's contents formated. We could do it thru a form but here in Portugal local calls are expensive and it will be better if school colleagues could write their articles offline. Could you help us or tell us where can we get information for this? Reply ASAP please. Paula e Lopo |

Yes, I'll be happy to write some kind of script for you for free.
Just a couple of questions: 1. Is there a special e-mail address that these articles get written to? 2. Should the script read the e-mail box directly, or would you like it to parse some kind of text file that you've saved from the e-mail? 3. What kind of database are you going to put this into? Hi and thankx very much,
Well Have I mentioned that the webserver and mailserver is at an ISP not at school? To answer to your quests by order: 1. The email will be freenews@eb2amora.pt 2. Could you process the email message directly and is it possible to process an attached file also? 3. We are thinking to use a MySQL database but DBM or mSQL is also good. They have it installed on ISP Servers. We are so graceful to your support. Best regards, Lopo e Paula |

Did you manage to get such a script working? I am interested in the outcome. I am also looking for something of this nature.
