Hey Perl ppl.,

does anyone know what lang. perl is written in.
I heard the new version of Perl is comming soon.: Perl6 - what bout this one??is it written in C++ or what?

Perl is the language. CGI scripts are what you typically write in Perl.

In C, what else?? What other language could provide you with the parsing ability for such ridicilous, yet beatiful syntax??

As for Perl6, yes there are plans that it should be rewritten in C++...

No, perl is writen IN perl. Some of the syntax ect are based of C, but perl is the only language exactly like perl.

Excuse Moi, but that is not possible. The guy didn't ask what language are Perl scripts written in, but what language the Perl interpreter is written in. You cannot write an interpreter in a language that that same intepreter is supposed to interpret!!
