What do you mean? Or can you specify exactly what are you trying to do?

i am trying to call a perl file in a frame with certain parameters. such as this "myFile.pl?text=off&sound=on" BUT, i do not want the ?text=off&sound=on part to show up. so i am trying to add the
?text=off&sound=on to the STDIN

Make a form button and put them in hidden field:
<form method="POST" action="script.pl">
<input type="hidden" name="text" value="off">
<input type="hidden" name="sound" value="on">
<input type="submit" value="Please Click Here">

okay, i can do that, but htat means that someone has to click the submit button for the script to load.
if i wanted to load without being clicked on, how would i do it? for instance if i wanted to load this perl script into a frame.....

<form method="POST" action="script.pl" target="frame_name_here">
>>if i wanted to load without being clicked on
Use GET method and put ?text=off&sound=on into the script so they are not visible. I don't see text=off and sound=on as sensitive data or anything secret, why you wanted to hide it?
Anyway, if you don't like hidden fields, you should stick with GET method.

<<if I wanted to load without being clicked on, how would I do it?>>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="40; URL=http:/scriptname">
- it means that http:/scriptname will be load after 40 seconds of action absence on a current page.
Additionally, if you don't POST parameters into the new script you can use inside default values.
