Perl Gurus - Need your urgent help...
Could the Perl gurus advice me the answers on the below questions?
Given the following conditions:
“If a student scores less than 40% on their test they fail, to earn a distinction they have to score greater than 70%.”
An application is being developed to sort who earns a distinction, passes, or fails.
Create a Perl script languages that:
- Reads the contents of the results.txt file
- Creates a new file with the file name Pass.[CurrentDate].txt and adds the student names and scores of the users that passed and leaves out the students that scored distinction
- Creates a new file with the file name Distinction.[CurrentDate].txt and adds the student names and scores of the users that earned a distinction
- In both instances [CurrentDate] would be the current date at the time the script ran in the format ddmmyyyy

The best advice I can give is for you to try and do your own homework assignment. When you get stuck, post your code and ask specific questions aimed at correcting your mistakes. You'll also need to post the errors and warnings your code produces.
We are not going to do your homework, but will assist you in the same way your instructor would if you had asked him/her.
