1 or 2 pixel border on irregular shape in PS6?
I have an irregular shape (silhouette of a horse) in a darker color that I need to have cleanly bordered with 1 or 2 pixels (white).
Any hints? -I tried duplicating / desaturate / brighten / transforming the layer and ended up with (predictably) bad results. Thanks in advance for any help on this one!

I'd just add an effect...
Double click the horse layer in the layers tab and use the stroke option for the effect (this is presuming the horse is in a layer by itself or has the background masked out with a LINKED mask). It may help to separate the stroke effect into another layer ( by right clicking on the effect in the layers tab and selecting create layer) so you can tinker with it (ie blur to add softness, that sort of thing). Thanks heaps for the suggestions and examples. They both helped a lot in getting this looking MUCH better than what I was ending up with before! (see attached)
