1 pixel problem with selection and cutting and stuff

ok i use photoshop CS2
this is my problem;

i want a square 740 x 500 px....

i make 1 random size quare and press transform, type in the right size

now when i select the square it says its 740 x 501 px
when i try transform my selection or the square to 500, it changed to 499 when i check again...

anyone know a solution for this problem?

ok its x or y position was at something .5

its now fixed
