Either Filter > Liquify or Filter > Distort > Spherize would be my guess. And some good touch up.

they've most likely been cutout with the lasso tool with feather set at like 3 - 5px. Then scaled up.
Depending on the original image, they could have been sphereized too it's kind of a cob job, but you get the idea...

I know. I mentioned sphereize to support what you said. My point was that the size had to be changed in addition |

Hmm... I missed the first line of your last post, I guess. That is certainly a possibility, now that I think about it.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up using Elliptikal Marquee > Pinch.

Yeah, I thought so too at first, but the trick is to have the pinch amount set at -100% This is how I did it: First off I placed a elliptikal marquee around an eye. Be sure to have good space between the eye and the borders of the active marquee. After that I just pinched it. |

That looks pretty gook, next time you do it, if you do, you may want to take off the flash on your camera, it's too bright. :\

Turning off the flash on my Olympus D-220L makes the photos look as dark as they are bright now.

Pinch and Sphereize are actually the same filter; they work in opposite directions. Setting Pinch to -100% is the same as setting Sphereize to 100%, and vice versa.
