Have you got your scanner or camera plugged in when starting PS?
If you have, maybe you could try and re-install the drivers first.

Let me say that I don't know if this is a good advice or not - but it's what i usualy do whenever i experience simulary errors during load or other procedure in PS (i experienced quite a lot so far).

What works for me is uninstalling PS, restart and re-install it again. It might seem abit daft, but it usualy works for me, as my experience tells me that 90% of the PS error messages emerges because of software error - perhaps even installed plugins...

This reply is abit late, but i hope u managed/manages to get u'r project done in time

Kind regards
Jahirah

Have you recently had a camera attached to your system? Has your system been thinking it has a camera attached to it? Check you device manager and uninstall any lurking cameras If that doesn't help and you still get the error and don't feel like reinstalling, why not try to really attach a camera (if you have one around)? Otherwise I can't think of anything but reinstalling
