How do I add an outside glow to an image?
Hi. I'm using Photoshop CS5.5 on a PC. I'm a complete beginner so forgive me if this sounds a bit obvious.
I have a magazine like cover that has been prepared for me. It has a logo on the top and some text.
I want to add an image of a book to the left half of the page. I want the book to have a faint glow around it. How do I add the glow, and should I add it to the book image before or after I copy it on to the main document?

use the Layer Styles. there's a specific Outer Glow option.
