background color in adobe ill 9.0
this has to be the dumbest question, but i couldn't find the answer. i'm not sure if this is correct, but if i want to use adobe illustrator 9.0 to draw out my layout for my webpage, i would like the background to be black with some logo i create. but i cannot change the background to black in adobe! does anyone know how to do that. i have tried alt+click in the swatches panel, but i do not have any luck. or if i draw some logos/buttons/etc for my webpage, do i just set the background color black in html?

Illustrator is different from PhotoShop in that you can't just 'fill' your background with a color... you have to actually make a box filled with black. I'd recommend putting it on a layer and locking it so it doesn't get in your way.
Hope that helps! ...sorry if it doesn't. |
