Batch image help
I'm running into a problem with a batch processing that I'm hoping somebody can help me out with.
I've got my action to do everything I want it to do, but what I need to do now is add an A at the end of every filename. Does anyone have good way to do that? |

I suppose a better way to put this would be, is there a way to batch rename images to add an A at the end of the file name before the extension?

When you have selected the action you want to run in the batch dialogue box. Change the destination to "Folder" from the drop down box, and you can edit the file naming options to suit.
Currently mine just has "Document Name" + "Extension". In your case you would change it to read "Document Name" + "A" + "Extension" to give you something like "image_A.jpg" I know you can do this in PS 7 & CS but not sure about the earlier versions. |

Only problem with that is I'm having trouble getting it to work.
My action has a save for web command in it and when I leave the check box in the batch dialog for the save as option (right above the file extension dialog) unchecked, I get a save for web dialog popup and a save as dialog popup. The only thing I can think of is to do the save for web, letting it save as the same name and then do a batch rename to add the A. I was just really hoping that could automate this as much as possible. |
